This is just a quick post to indicate that I have now uploaded 3 new sermons to my YouTube channel on the book of Joshua – Chapters 3, 6 and 7. I think you will find them helpful as they deal with the nature of faith and they also examine the very confronting nature of God-ordained killing in the Old Testament. A lot of people, even Christians, struggle to reconcile the killing of whole populations in Canaan with the God of love and justice. How can a loving God do this? Is it right? Are we worshipping an evil and vindictive God? These sermons (particularly my sermons on Joshua 6 & 7) deal with this very difficult and confronting issue. These three sermons are part of a series I preached for the Bathurst Diocese of the Anglican Church.
